Itinerary
Moshi to Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
Geographical Description: Start the trek at Rongai Gate (1,950 meters) and hike through the rainforest zone. Simba Camp (2,625 meters) offers the first stunning views of Kilimanjaro.
Simba Camp to Second Cave
s Geographical Description: Ascend to Second Cave (3,450 meters) through moorland characterized by sparse vegetation and unique flora adapted to higher altitudes.
Second Cave to Third Cave
Geographical Description: Trek towards Third Cave (3,870 meters), experiencing a change in vegetation with the landscape becoming more rugged and rocky.
Third Cave to Kibo Hut
Geographical Description: Journey to Kibo Hut (4,700 meters) across the Saddle, a vast, high-altitude desert, offering panoramic views and a sense of isolation.
Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (summit point) Back to Horombo Hut
Geographical Description: Summit attempt starting early, reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa. Descend to Horombo Hut (3,720 meters) through various ecological zones
Horombo Hut to Mandara Hut to Marangu Gate Back to Moshi/Arusha
Geographical Description: Descend through the rainforest, passing Mandara Hut (2,700 meters), and conclude at Marangu Gate before returning to Moshi or Arusha.
