Moshi - Marangu gate - Mandara Hut
• Temperature: Mild, around 15°C to 20°C. • Height: Marangu Gate at 1,860 meters; Mandara Hut at 2,700 meters. • Distance: Trekking distance of about 12 kilometers. • Nature: Traverse lush jungles, spotting unique flora and fauna, with glimpses of Kilimanjaro's grandeur.
Mandara hut - Horombo Hut
• Temperature: Gradual decrease to 10°C to 15°C. • Height: Ascend to Horombo Hut at 3,720 meters. • Distance: Trekking approximately 15 kilometers. • Nature: Transition from rainforest to moorland, witnessing the changing ecological zones.
Horombo Hut - Kibo Hut
• Temperature: Cooler, ranging from 5°C to 10°C. • Height: Ascend to Kibo Hut at 4,700 meters. • Distance: A challenging trek of about 15 kilometers. • Nature: Alpine desert landscapes with unique rock formations.
Kibo Hut - Uhuru Peak (summit point) - Back to Horombo Hut
