Moshi to Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
Commence your trek from the northern side via Rongai Gate. As you ascend, witness the transition from lush rainforests to moorlands. Temperature: Varies, Height: Rongai Gate - 1,950 meters, Simba Camp - 2,625 meters, Distance: Rongai Gate to Simba Camp - 8 km.
Simba Camp to Second Cave
Navigate through scenic landscapes, passing the Second Cave. Enjoy panoramic views as you acclimatize to the increasing altitude. Temperature: Cooler, Height: Second Cave - 3,450 meters, Distance: Simba Camp to Second Cave - 5 km.
Second Cave– Third Cave
Experience a steady climb to the alpine desert, reaching the Third Cave. Witness Kilimanjaro's unique flora and fauna, adapted to higher altitudes. Temperature: Chilly, Height: Third Cave - 3,870 meters, Distance: Second Cave to Third Cave - 7 km.
Third Cave to Kibo Hut

Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak - Back to Horombo Hut
