Moshi - Marangu Gate Mandara Hut
Embark on your trek from the Marangu Gate, the starting point of the Marangu Route. Trek through dense rainforests filled with unique flora and fauna, reaching the Mandara Hut. Experience the changing landscapes and settle in for your first night amidst the stunning surroundings
Mandara Hut- Horombo Hut
Continue your ascent through the scenic heath and moorland zones. Catch glimpses of the stunning Mawenzi Peak as you reach the Horombo Hut. The expansive views and cool mountain air make for a memorable stay.
Horombo Hut- Kibo Hut
Ascend to the Saddle, a lunar desert between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. Reach the Kibo Hut, your base for the final push to Uhuru Peak. Marvel at the alpine desert's stark beauty as you prepare for the summit.
Kibo Hut Uhuru Peak (Summit Point) - Back to Horombo Hut
The day you've been waiting for! Summit to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Witness the sunrise over the vast plains below. Descend to Kibo Hut and continue to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved rest
Horombo Hut Mandara Hut - Marangu Gate - Back to Moshi/Arusha
Descend through the rainforest, savoring the last moments of your journey. Reach the Marangu Gate, where you will bid farewell to Kilimanjaro's slopes. Return to Moshi or Arusha with memories that will last a lifetime.
