Itinerary
Moshi/Arusha to Machame Gate - Machame Camp
Begin your trek at the Machame gate and make your way through lush rainforests. At the end of the day, you will arrive at Machame Camp, where you will be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding landscapes
Machame Camp to Shira 2 Camp
Continue your ascent to higher altitudes and enter the moorland zone. Shira 2 Camp, located at approximately 3,850 meters, will provide you with a glimpse of the vast Shira Plateau.
Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower - Barranco Camp
Experience the unique landscapes of the Lava Tower as you hike and then descend to Barranco Camp. This day is crucial for acclimatization, preparing you for the challenges ahead.
Barranco Camp to Karanga to Barafu Camp
Navigate the Barranco Wall and make your way to Karanga Valley before reaching Barafu Camp. As you ascend to 4,600 meters, the air becomes thinner, getting you ready for the final summit bid.
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and back to Barafu Camp, then to Mweka Camp
The highlight of your journey is summit day! Reach the iconic Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Afterward, descend to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved rest before continuing on to Mweka Camp.
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and return to Moshi
The final leg of your adventure takes you through the lush Mweka rainforest. Celebrate your incredible achievement at the Mweka Gate before heading back to Moshi, where you can relax and reflect on your extraordinary journey.
