Itinerary
Moshi -Rongai Gate -Simba Camp
Your journey begins with a scenic drive to the Rongai Gate, the starting point of the Rongai Route. The trail winds through dense rainforests, characterized by lush vegetation and a rich variety of wildlife. Ascending through the Nale Moru village, you will reach Simba Camp, your first overnight stop, surrounded by the captivating sights and sounds of the natural world. Geographical Description: • Temperature: Moderate, ranging from 10°C to 25°C. • Height: Starting at approximately 1,950 meters.
Simba Camp -Second Cave
Leaving Simba Camp, the trail meanders through moorland, offering panoramic views of the expansive plains below. As you ascend, the vegetation transforms, revealing the unique flora of the alpine desert. The night is spent at the Second Cave, where the air becomes crisper, and the stars illuminate the vast African sky. Second Cave– Third Cave

Geographical Description: • Temperature: Dropping, ranging from 0°C to 15°C. • Height: Reaching approximately 3,860 meters.
Third Cave -Kibo Hut
The trek now leads you through the Saddle, a vast expanse nestled between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. As you approach Kibo Hut, the last stop before the summit, the air becomes thinner, and the landscape transitions into an otherworldly alpine desert. Kibo Hut- Uhuru Peak (Summit Point) - Back to Horombo Hut

Horombo Hut - Mandara Hut - Marangu Gate - Back to Moshi/Arusha
The descent begins, leading through the lush landscapes of moorland and rainforest. Passing Mandara Hut and finally reaching Marangu Gate, you will bid farewell to Kilimanjaro. Return to the vibrant towns of Moshi or Arusha, cherishing the memories of an extraordinary adventure.
