Itinerary
Moshi/ Arusha Machame Gate- Machame Camp
• Temperature: Ranges from 10°C to 20°C. • Height: Ascend from 880 meters to 3,010 meters. • Distance: Moshi/Arusha to Machame Gate is about 50 kilometers. • Nature: Transition from urban landscapes to lush rainforests.
Machame Camp- Shira 2 Camp
• Temperature: Temperatures vary between 5°C and 15°C. • Height: Ascend to 3,840 meters. • Distance: A challenging trek of approximately 9 kilometers. • Nature: Enter the heath and moorland zone with captivating flora
Shira 2 Camp Lava Tower- Barranco Camp
• Temperature: Ranges from 5°C to 15°C. • Height: Ascend to 4,600 meters. • Distance: Cover around 15 kilometers. • Nature: Witness the unique Lava Tower and traverse the Barranco Wall.
Barranco Camp- Karanga Barafu Camp
• Temperature: Temperatures range from 0°C to 10°C. • Height: Ascend to 4,673 meters. • Distance: Trek approximately 9 kilometers. • Nature: Experience the alpine desert landscape.
Barafu Camp Uhuru Peak (Summit Point) Back to Barafu Camp then to Mweka Camp
• Temperature: Sub-zero temperatures at the summit. • Height: Reach the summit at 5,895 meters. • Distance: Summit ascent and descent, covering about 20 kilometers. • Nature: Conquer the snow and glaciers en route to Uhuru Peak.
Mweka Camp- Mweka Gate Back to Moshi
