Moshi/Arusha Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree)
The expedition officially begins with a drive to Londorossi Gate. The trail takes you through lush rainforests, introducing you to the rich biodiversity of Kilimanjaro. Witness the towering Mti Mkubwa, a prelude to the grandeur that lies ahead.
Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
Ascending through the moorlands, you will reach the Shira Plateau. The landscape transforms, offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Shira 1 Camp becomes your temporary home, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Shira Cathedral.
Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut
