Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Experience a climatic shift as you leave the rainforest behind. Journey through the moorland, enjoying panoramic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Reach Horombo Hut at 3,720 meters, where the landscape transforms into an alpine desert.
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Ascend through the lunar-like landscape towards Kibo Hut at 4,700 meters. Marvel at the vastness of the Saddle, a high-altitude desert, as you prepare for the final push to Uhuru Peak
Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (Summit Point) - Back to Horombo Hut
Summon your courage for the predawn trek to the summit. Stand triumphantly at Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters) as the sun bathes the African continent below. Descend to Kibo Hut and continue to Horombo Hut, relishing the accomplishment
Horombo Hut to Mandara Hut - Marangu Gate - Back to Moshi/Arusha
