Itinerary
Moshi/Arusha – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree)
Embark on your trek from the Londorossi Gate, traversing lush rainforests to Mti Mkubwa, where the journey truly begins.
Mti Mkubwa – Shira 1 Camp
Ascend through the heather and moorland, absorbing panoramic views as you reach the Shira 1 Camp.
Shira 1 Camp – Moir Hut
Venture into the high alpine desert, passing the dramatic Shira Plateau on your way to Moir Hut, a haven nestled beneath towering spires.
Moir Hut – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp
Navigate the challenging terrain to Lava Tower, an iconic volcanic formation, before descending to the scenic Barranco Camp.
Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
Tackle the infamous Barranco Wall and be rewarded with breathtaking vistas as you make your way to Karanga Camp.
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Climb steadily towards Barafu Camp, your base for the final ascent, as the landscape transforms into a stark alpine desert.
Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Back to Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp
Summit day arrives as you conquer Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend to Barafu Camp before continuing to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate Moshi
Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, marking the end of your incredible journey. Return to Moshi with memories etched in the heart.
